What is intention?

Perhaps the most important part of all writing is intention. An author of a work cannot guarantee that every reader will interpret their piece in the context that they wrote it; the author can simply write it with the intention of being interpreted the way they had in mind. A piece of work can be emotionally impact to people with different experiences through both shared experiences, invoked empathy, or for completely different reasons! Intention is the feeling behind art. It's what separates art from creation: communication!
